Sites of Hong Kong

A few people have asked me why I would move to film in Hong Kong and not film in Sydney?

There's many reasons actually but this is one of them:

Hong Kong is a beautiful city and it's just as photogenic as NYC with iconic locations, places, structures on every corner. Fantastic neon lights during nighttime for night scene shooting, nice cloudy days for morning shoots. The location itself gives you ideas, inspirations, creativity wherever you look.

I'd also realise that in a place like Sydney you really don't seem to have the thought of crossing paths with interesting characters such as psychos, serial killers, assassins, detectives, gangsters or superpowers. The location is simply not dense enough for others to witness or meet interesting people. We would meet multi-cultural ethnic people but they would seem to have the same lifestyle as we do. Incidents does not seem to happen as often in dense populated areas such as New York, Hong Kong, India, Japan, France where the film industry are richer than Australia. It is also a reason why Australians find it hard to relate to Australian films because even ourselves have not encountered such stories displayed on cinema...

ANYWAY here's a video showing you how videogenic Hong Kong can be.
