Lots of pre-production planning with many edits that are planned to work with each other.

I also like their most of their clothes even though most of the inspiration are stolen the styles are still contemporary.

Dockers Men Of Style

Dockers pants have always been an American blue collar staple.

Recently they've been doing a lot of collaborations and video to gain more attention on the younger generations.

Typography Chart

Ever since I was small I always liked typography. Trying to do bubble writing on the school desks, studying the types of typography in the manga. I realised the importance of it once I discovered that Steve Jobs attended a typography course in uni.

As I now have video, film projects with my crew I need to be more aware of typography. the style of font for my titles and logos.

MAISON KITSUNÉ Look Book Video

In terms of lookbook videos, MAISON KITSUNE is probably one of the most successful in high fashion.

A Sunday afternoon in Paris, you wake up brain dead, you dance on your bed, music pumping loud, you try on your clothes, you pack, you leave for another place.

It's raw, romantic, young, wild, stylish.

British Subcultures

Fred Perry Japan invested into making some short documentaries on the development of subcultures in Britain. It traces the origin of how rock & roll leather bikers, tailored slim cropped preppy mods or skinny studded punks came into development.

It a interesting look at why fashion was important in the old days especially for the poor working class.

For 60 years Fred Perry has been influential for the British youngsters,  it has grown internationally and selling the English heritage globally.

Gentlemen of Style

Surgram Films and Guerreisms have collaborated to produce a video on fellow Gentlemen around the globe. They been all over fashion magazines, blogs, photos, videos, interviews. These men are not styled by others, they have developed very personal styles through the years with trial and error.

Style needs to be developed and is individual for everyone.

Fashion Recycled

Some of you hate this idea,

Some of you live by this idea,

Some of you haven't even heard of this idea,

It's called "Thrifting", act of shopping at a thrift store, flea market, garage sale, or a shop of charitable organisation, usually with the intent of finding interesting items at a cheap price. I know that some of you have already been getting into this habit picking up great cheap vintage items.

I personally like this concept because I believe that you don't need to go into flagship stores and purchase overpriced clothing to be fashionable. Style can be affordable if you have a great taste, attentive eye and also have no problems with hygiene (beware to wash before you wear!).

This is an example of a successful person that lives by thrifting, Sean Brown and he even has his own website that promotes this concept The Art of Reuse.

Think everyone should attempt adapting to this concept cause it reduces your expenses while keeping yourselves stylish :)

They also have a crew of thrifters, opening a second hand store, promoting this concept to people, blogging news about thrifting and educating others with this idea.

Men's Hair Care

First impressions are very important as most of you acknowledge by now, and everyone seems to look at people's faces first. So the groom of you face is crucial to distinguish you from others.

Some like it overgrown, some like it neat and tidy, but nevertheless it was taken care of before you step out of the house.

Some spend hundreds on their hair and some never do, but it represents who you are.

Surprisingly Auckland seems to have a fine barber shop for men to finer cut their hair too. Even th guys down at New Zealand have places like this goes to show how important it is to the rest of the modern world.

I'm so so so sick of fashion video that just make models walking in the forest, at the beach, some room while the sun is setting.

This fashion video I like, it's got a story, display all the range of colours and ways you can match the pants.

The story is fun, no-one gets harmed it's like a love it or hate it small video.

Provokes thought and makes it memorable.

Need Supply Co. Spring Lookbook 2012

Need Supply Co. is a website that sells fashion clothing.

They have created a video to look at the styles they recommend in their stores for Spring/Summer.

What I love about this video is that they try to recreate the distinguish style of  Wes Anderson.

The 60s, 70s fashion styles, quirky characters and geometric camera angles.

This is a pretty good attempt of his style, so if you admire Mr. Anderson you should be taking notes.

Individuality

Ever thought that you were a bit weird and different? Your mind doesn't really go well with others?

I mean that's all fine if you have the determination to be successful by being yourself.

I think it's awesome that everyone is different in their own way and yeah sure everybody knows that, but it's the ones that know how to work with their personalities thrive.

Don't fight it.
